Stocks Tick Higher After Wall Street Clears Inflation Hurdles

The stock market cleared both of this week’s inflation reports, but gains were fairly muted. The Nasdaq Composite was 0.2%. The big three indexes were mixed on Wednesday after the July consumer price index matched expectations.
