Coca-Cola Stock Pops After Earnings Shine a Light on Consumer Spending

Coca-Cola stock was rising Tuesday after the soft drinks company reported better-than-expected earnings and raised its full-year guidance, signaling to investors that demand for fizzy drinks remains robust. Coca-Cola reported adjusted earnings of 97 cents a share, as revenue jumped 7% from a year ago to $13.4 billion. Analysts were expecting earnings of 93 cents a share on revenue of $13.2 billion, according to a FactSet poll.
