Bank of England expected to hike, US midterms, Apple results and US payrolls

It’s been another broadly mixed few days for stock markets this week, with the Fed and ECB both leaving rates unchanged with the only stories of note being the dissent on the FOMC and the announcement that Christine Lagarde would be stepping down early as President of the ECB.
