Gold surges above $4,050 as Democrats take control of Congress

Gold price (XAU/USD) gains momentum to near $4,065 during the early Asian session on Thursday. The precious metal rises over 3.60%, the biggest gain since mid-August, after Democrats swept the US midterm elections.
