Stock Futures Drop as Chip Rally Fizzles Out

Stocks looked set to open in the red on Tuesday as investors opted to ditch tech, even after South Korean memory-chip maker Samsung Electronics forecast a huge surge in profit. Nasdaq 100 futures dropped 0.8%. The blue-chip Dow notched a record close for a second straight session, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq added more than 1% as chip stocks roared back.
